Optimizing performance in React applications, Azure + React & an alternative state management library

Hello fellow React devs! Long time no see -- I was away on vacation for a few weeks, so took a break from writing the newsletter. I'm now back to real life and writing React apps, this newsletter and hoping to publish a few more blog posts on our blog very soon! Our book, Fullstack React: The Complete Guide to ReactJS & Friends will also be available on Amazon soon, so stay tuned for another announcement when it's released into the wild!

Goodies for this week's newsletter include:

  • Learn how to deploy a static site built with React to Microsoft's Azure platform
  • Increase the performance of your React app with performance timeline
  • Figure out why & when your React app is needlessly updating with a library called "Why did you update?"
  • Display a "placeholder" component while your app is still loading it's data with react-hold

Happy coding!
